Terms
The short version of how Layr is licensed. It doesn’t take away any rights you have under the law where you live.
Trial
You can use every feature of Layr for 24 hours after first launch, without payment details. After the trial, a licence is needed to keep arranging windows. Your saved layouts are never deleted.
Licence
- A licence is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
- It’s for one person to use Layr on 1 Mac at a time. Any number of displays connected to that Mac are included.
- It includes all Layr 1.x updates. A future major version may be sold separately.
- You can move it to another Mac by deactivating it on the old one.
- Don’t share, resell or publish your licence key, or work around the activation limit.
Payment and refunds
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, under its terms. Prices are shown at checkout, including any taxes. Refund requests go through support. If a licence is refunded, its key is disabled.
The software
Layr moves windows using macOS Accessibility, with your permission. Some apps limit or prevent this, and Layr reports when it couldn’t place a window. Layr is provided as is, to the extent the law allows; we’re not liable for indirect losses from its use.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version applies to purchases made after the change. The licence you bought keeps the terms it was sold under.
These terms are a plain-language summary prepared for launch and haven’t been reviewed by a lawyer yet.
